First look: Creative MuVo Vidz
This is Creative’s horribly-named entry in the flash-based video players category. With a mid-September Singapore Launch, let’s have a look at the specs:
- comes in 512MB and 1GB capacities
- measures 32×66x15.7mm
- weighs 33g
- 1.18-inch OLED display, 65K
- supports MPEG-4 and DivX
- supports M3U playlists
- built-in FM radio
- line-in & voice recording
- user-defined EQ, and 4 EQ presets
The folks at CNET Asia were let down by the small screen, and the rather weak battery (10 hours for audio, much less for video).
They also note the close visual resemblance to MPIO One, while Robert Sinke from dapreview points to something called Sorell SF-3500.

UPDATE: Engadget points us to this Hardware Zone article, where we learn that the the MuVo Vidz:
- uses a built-in lithium polymer battery, and is charged via USB
- will probably go for S$259.00 and $349.00 (for the 512MB and the 1GB version respectively), which is $154 and $208 in US dollars
