First look: Creative Zen Micro Photo
It’s about time, isn’t it?
The CNET Asia guys (who else?) take a first look at it, and noted it’s undergone some upgrades since the CES 2005 model we saw 9 months ago. So, it’s 8GB of hard drive storage instead of 6, and a new display going by the name BriteVue. Weighs 107.7g, measures 51×84x17.8 mm. The 262,144-color 1.5’’ OLED screen apparently rocks, but why use it for photo-viewing only? Audio-wise it’s the excellency we’ve come to expect from Creative, but in a that’s-sonot-Creative way, the player comes with very few accessories inside the box. Coming soon—if you live in Singapore, you can pre-order it-, costing about $280.
This is probably Creative Labs’ most promising offering so they’d better not screw things up.
