Briefly: iPod mini stocks low, DLO mini fm, Cross-platform use of iPods, What’s next for Apple, LG VX8100 MP3 upgrade, Kazaa loses case
- Stock of all iPod mini models has become increasingly constrained (“outside Apple’s direct distribution channels”, according to sources of AppleInsider; new iPod minis are probably close)
- DLO presents mini fm – FM radio & headphone amp for the iPod mini ($39.99, begins shipping in early October; powered via the iPod mini—how much strain does it put in its battery?)
- Using iPods in a cross-platform environment (you can use your Windows-formatted iPod on your Mac just fine, but to do the opposite you need to use special software)
- What’s the Next Verse in Apple’s Song? (nothing revolutionary, sums up the situation Apple is in a propos to the digital music front)
- LG VX8100 to get free upgrade that adds MP3 capability (can be performed in any Verizon Wireless store) [via]
- KaZaA Decisively Loses Australian Case (who cares about Kazaa nowadays anyway? nevertheless, Sharman Networks—Kazaa’s parent company—promises to appeal; read also)
