Briefly: Zen Micro Photo surfaces, Variable pricing in iTMS, Creative notebook speakers, Apple shares up, Asian MP3 manufacturers
- Zen Micro Photo appeared on Creative Singapore’s website (to go on sale on the 9th? it’s been a long time coming, read our post on the device) [via]
- A case in favor of the variable pricing of tunes in the iTMS (a good read, but let’s not forget one
thingfact: the labels are greedy, and variable pricing means we’ll see much more $1.99 tunes than $0.69 ones, even if the opposite makes sense considering the oldies surpass today’s hits in quantity) - Creative TravelSound 500 Notebook Speakers (cool, truly portable laptop speakers; USB powered)
- Apple shares hit new 52-week high (5% increase today to $48.69, went even as high as $48.81; the speculations about tomorrow’s event have increased the market’s interest, though there are investors who think that “Apple’s stock may have appreciated too much”)
- Under siege Asian MP3 makers turn to ‘cool’ factor (since they can’t compete with Apple through price, they try to differentiate their products enough to find their own niche market; also Apple’s big contenders are expected to earn some breathing room since “the industry sets to consolidate next year as smaller players are weeded out”)
