iTMS Australia problems
According to Forbes, Apple still hasn’t struck a deal with two major label for distributing their catalogues in the soon-to-launch australian branch of the iTunes Music Store. Warner Music Group and Sony BMG, the same two companies that are not in the iTMS Japan deal, want variable pricing on the tunes, but Apple’s successful strategy ain’t changing any time soon (after all, in the US, the deal Apple has with the big four doesn’t run out till next srping). EMI has expressed its discontent for the uniform $0.99 pricing, but remains on the iTMS bandwagon for now. It should also be noted that Sony BMG will re-launch their own music service, Connect, this fall.
iTMS Australia will debut October 3rd.
