Briefly: DRM2, iRiver H320 production cost, Kuro to appeal, VW’s universal USB connector
- RIAA / MPAA + Internet2 = DRM2? (well said)
- Production cost analysis for the iRiver H320 (costs $135 to produce, used to sell for $329—it’s out of production now) [via]
- Taiwan online music site Kuro to appeal piracy ruling (they’ll point to a not-guilty verdict for another Taiwan P2P portal, eZpeer, earlier this year; the funny thing about Kuro is that in 2003 it won the Taiwan Innovation Software Award issued by the Taiwanese government; read our previous coverage)
- Volkswagen to offer onboard, radio-controlled universal USB connector (“Several new Volkswagen models are going to be featuring a handy universal USB connector built into the center armrest, such that you can plug in any old USB thumb drive or USB-connecting MP3 player and use the car’s radio controls to navigate and play the music collection on that memory stick or player.”)
