Briefly: Gigabeat X30 pics, Sanyo enters the MP3 market, Safa’s Q200, Careful with the legalese, ROKR disappoints (again), Samsung YH-J70 firmware
- Toshiba Gigabeat X30 pics (the UI doesn’t look polished enough; more about this new model in a previous post of ours) [via]
- Sanyo hops aboard the portable MP3 bandwagon (the HDP-M3000 is a 6GB HDD-based MP3 player with a 12-hour battery life that measures 9×5x5cm; and the only thing going for it is the price at £100, compared to Nano’s £180 for the 4GB version; no word on US availability) [via]
- Safa’s Q200 looks interesting (flash-based, 260k OLED screen, FM tuner/recorder, etc.; pictures here)
- What’s In a Word? (note to journalists & self: be careful when you talk about legal stuff, cause you might mess things like Reuters did; Brad is an ace in this type of coverage)
- Moto’s ROKR is a STINKR (yet another negative review on the disappointing device) [via]
- Samsung YH-J70 firmware v. 1.076 (you can now see ID3 tag info on “Now Playing” screen when using file browsing, there are additional PC connect modes allowing you to charge and transfer from USB simultaneously, plus improved USB Host functionality and more menu settings; read our post on the device here)
