Sony releases two MD players, as the world tries to understand what’s wrong with this company
Guess they’re not giving up on the MD format after all. We’ve got two new MD Walkmans, the MZ-EH50 (pictured on the right) and MZ-EH70 (pictured below, on the left), announced in Japan today.
The two models seem to share an aweful lot of technical charasteristics. There’s Hi-MD format support and a HD digital amp (for pristine playback, and reduced noise) in both. Expected in November, prices not known yet.
Your biggest competitor (so big compared to you, that I’m not sure you can be called a competitor) adds video playback capability to an already excellent portable audio device (the PSP department shouldn’t be feeling very well), and you’re still investing in a dead format.
Howard Stringer, where is the common sense?
