Stanford on iTunes
The fruit of collaboration between Stanford and iTunes is a unique educational gem. It’s meant for distributing recordings of faculty lectures, presentations and other content related to the university (music recorded by students, podcasts of sport events, etc.). Some of the course-based material is available to students and faculty only, but there’s still lots of stuff to explore. The project kicked off with 400 audio programs, more to come—have a look at it here. This is amazing. [via]
UPDATE: A friend tips me on some material worthy of your bandwidth: lectures by David M. Kennedy (“outstanding”), John Hennessy, Sapolsky, Cornel West. Also the “Heard on Campus” section is supposed to be amazing, “because they pull in some amazing guests sometimes”.
