Creative’s iPod video competitor coming
Finally, some potentially exciting news from Creative’s camp. Sim Wong Hoo, Creative Labs’ CEO, is expected to present an iPod video (review) competitor in person in Paris, next week. [And man, at the risk of calling us Apple fanboys (you know that ain’t true!), that “I’ll present it myself” thing does make us wish Mr. Hoo won’t appear on stage with a pair of jeans and a black turtleneck.]
And, according to a page on Creative’s European site, “Creative’s brand new performer” will make its appearance at the British Film Academy of Film and Television Arts (London), on Thursday December 8th. Anyway, from what we can see on Creative’s page, the image found on GenerationMP3 (posted on your right) does seem to be accurate.
Something strikes me as odd with the color—a bit too fancy for my tastes. “Green is the new white” may be Creative’s new slogan. Or something. Let’s hope it’s powerful (no problem for Creative’s engineers here), easy to work with (hope they don’t blow it on that one—it’s critical) and comes at a sweet price. We shall keep you posted.
