CES 2006: Good news for XM sat radio fans
Pioneer and Samsung released two MP3 players that double as XM receivers. The Pioneer Inno XM2go (pictured on the right—more pictures) and Samsung’s Helix XM2go are basically the same devices: same specs, same design, just slightly different enclosures (and we prefer the Inno’s brushed steel look a bit better, but that’s just us).
You get 1GB of flash memory which you can fill with up to 50 hours of recorded XM content or tracks from you digital music library. The built-in FM transmitter is nice to see, and makes sense considering these devices will be used heavily inside the car. There’s a 180×180 TFT screen that can display song info, stock info, weather info, you-name-it info. Oh, and the Helix allows you to bookmark the songs you hear on XM so that you can easily get them from Napster next time you’re online.
Available in March, these’ll set you back a whooping $400.
