CES 2006: Panasonic’s uninspiring flash-based offerings
I’ve got one question for Panasonic and that is: why bother? All they had to show [via] was a lame flash-based MP3 player with only the necessary audio support (MP3, WMA DRM) and zero extras (radio? no; voice recorder? nope). It’ll come in two capacities: 1GB for the SV-MP010 and twice that for the SV-MP020.
The only thing this player has got going for it, apart from the fact that it can run for 75 hours on a single AA battery, is the sensible pricing: $150 gets for a 2GB MP3 player. Expected availability around March. We can’t wait.
