Release: Shure E500 canalphones + “Push To Hear” accessory
An impressive release in the high-end department from Shure, the E500 canalphones feature triple drivers for ultimate audio bliss and and a “Push-To-Hear” accessory that mutes the music and activates an external microphone to let you hear outside sounds. I know more than a few canalphone users (heck, all of them) who will appreciate this PTH immensely; having to take off and re-insert a canalphone isn’t the easiest of things.
From the press release:
What HDTV has done to the experience of watching television, the E500’s Triple Hi-Definition Drivers will do for audio. Utilizing three miniature speakers-one tweeter and two woofers-the E500 lets you experience precise highs and the richest lows that are true to live performance.
You’ll have to wait till May to get them, and they’ll set you back $500. The PTH accessory will also be sold separately for $60 and you can use it with any other standard earphone.
