First look: mobiBLU DAH-1900
A single charge is supposed to keep the DAH-1900 running for 150 hours. We’ll find out what truth stands behind this number as the first reviews start showing up. You’re supposed to charge the lithium-ion battery via USB.
You’ll be able to load your tunes and M3U playlists quickly via the USB 2.0 link and access them through a tree directory structure—i.e. no database based on ID3 tags, though the device can read’em; that’s what the display is for. Speaking of displays, we have an OLED that sports a 128×64 resolution and yellow/blue colors, set in a dark background.
Audio support is limited to MP3 and WMA/WMA DRM—where’s the Ogg Vorbis love?
It comes equipped with a radio tuner and a line-in/radio/voice recorder (directly to MP3), which is a very welcomed addition. Also? An alarm clock that can be set to wake you up with either radio or MP3 playback.
Comes in three capacities (256MB/512MB/1GB)—who goes for 256 megs nowadays?—and two colors (black and white). Available soon—we’ll have to keep an on mobibLU’s store.
