They look nice, and apparently produce some nice sound too but I will stick with my faithful Sennheiser at the moment. :)

No, I think Sennheiser should put your in their latest ad or something -- try out a pair of BeyerDynamics for a change!

The Porta Pro also sucks. ;)

I buy all the Sennheiser 545s I can find for my drum set (my Roland V-Drums just sound best on those cans), I have a pair of HD 590, one pair of HD 600 and one HD 650.

Do you think that's excessive? (*blush*)

Heh, I've only let the 25 KHz bit because I was quoting the press release. I usually either skip these, or insert a snarky comment along.

Regarding Koss, I think I agree. The only successful model I can think of quickly right now is the Porta Pro, and this is a low-budget phone.

Which pair of Sennheisers do you own?

Looks cool.

Mylar diaphragms for a frequency response of up to 25,000? Sure, why not. I'll let my bats have a go at these cans.

I used to have a Koss in the 70s and 80s which was great - and I wore it out until it literally fell apart - but I haven't had one single more than decent one on my ears since.

I wish they would stop coming up with cool stuff and actually produce something that can really compete with Beyer, Sennheiser and the like.

Early opinions I heard around the shops here were just negative, across the board. Also, I've heard that they are not supposed to be suitable for longer listening sessions because of the (closed) concept ... too tight.

Not that I'm lookin g for a new pair. My Sennheisers will do for another decade or two.
