Cog is an open-source audio player for the Mac (OS X 10.4 and above) with support for all major lossless formats—in active development. Worth a look; its interface is that of your typical neat Mac app (is there an app for that platform that doesn’t look good?). [via]

OS X widget: Amazon Album Art: smooth. Choose the tracks in iTunes, press the widget’s “Get from iTunes” graphic button, when the appropriate cover has been found just click the “Set as album art in iTunes” button and you’re done. A web demo is available. [via]

Microsoft ceases development of the app, continues to offer the current version for download and offers the Flip4Mac plugin for free. Said plugin allows users to work with .wmv and .wma files in QuickTime.
