Sony updates their flash models’ names to something humans can remember: about freakin’ time. So now:

NW-E407 → Walkman Core
NW-E307 → Walkman Circ
NW-E107 → Walkman Bean

I hope other companies follow that way too—if the product’s name is stupid, how are the people supposed to discuss it?

CNET is giving it props for the great battery life (46h!), good FM reception and smart pop-up USB jack (watch the video for this), but the background hiss during playback (which, while not easily distinguishable, is a major drawback) and the slow transfer rate (0.55MB/s) keep this player to a rather average 6.4/10 rating.
